Valentine’s Day Fun with Marbled Elegance Suite Collection Mini Series part 3

Welcome back!

This evening I have a Slim Line Valentine’s Day Card for our mini series of Marbled Elegance Valentine’s Fun. To add a little fun this evening I am throwing in a new bundle from the January Scrapbooking Brochure!

Stampin’ Up!©️ Marbled Elegance Suite Collection has a lot of versatility. You can really do so much with the dies and paper in this suite. Tonight you will see how I was able to incorporate a different bundle into the suite.

The new Meant To Bee Bundle is a new bundle that is part of the Meant To Bee Scrapbooking Collection. You can find this bundle in the January Scrapbooking Brochure on page 15 and in the online store.

Todays card I will be using everything in the Marbled Elegance Suite Collection except the Gift Bags. I will use them in the last part of this mini series. You can find a sample of use on the Stamp It Group Valentine’s Day Blog Hop post.

Lets start with paper sizes and colors!

Colors that I am using include: Early Espresso 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock, Basic Beige 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock, scraps of Basic White 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock. I also have a piece of Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP.

In the photo you will see a piece of Gold Foil, I ended up not using that but you can if you choose. I replaced the Gold Foil with Aluminum Foil!

Yep you read that right, old fashioned Aluminum Foil on a card!

I will be using Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin Pad for stamping the sentiments, Crushed Curry Classic Stampin Pad and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink for the Bumble Bee.

Because this is a Slim Line card I have made a custom envelope for it. For this I used Regal Distressed 12” x 12” Specialty Designer Series Paper. Measurements can be found in the photo below.

***UPDATED INFO***

I was playing around on Pinterest and stumbled on this awesome image of a slim line card envelope template and I wanted to share it. This was posted by Rosanne Mulhern at hearfeltstampin.com. I have included a link to the Pinterest Post that she posted. Just click the picture and it will fly you right on over! Thank Rosanne for posting this awesome template!! Much appreciated!!

Paper Sizes and scoring:

Early Espresso 8-1/2 x 11” Cardstock: 7” x 8-1/2” score at 3-1/2”, 3-3/8” x 8-3/8”, and 7/8” x 7/8” (x18).

Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP: 2” x 3-1/2”.

Basic Beige 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 3-1/4” x 8-1/4” and 1” x 1” (x18)

Basic White scraps and a 3” x 4” piece of Aluminum Foil.

Now for the fun of putting this card together!! Warning you may want to have something sweet on stand by!

The first step to make this yummy candy bar inspired card, we need to do some major scoring. You can use your paper trimmer to do this but I do advise using the Simply Scored tool to prevent cutting by accident. I wont disclose how many times I did this…..

You will score the 3-3/8” x 8-3/8” Early Espresso Panel on the short side at 1-1/8” and 2-1/4”. On the long side: 1-1/8”, 2-1/4”, 3-3/8”, 4-1/2”, 5-5/8”, 6-3/4” and 7-7/8”. The very bottom edge will be a bit wonky but thats okay!

Goal is to make it look like the start of a chocolate bar!

NOW YOU HAVE A SIMPLE YET ADORABLE CARD YOU CAN SEND OUT TO A LOVED ONE. ALL OF THE CARDS FEATURED IN THIS MINI SERIES ARE BEING DELIVERED TO OUR LOCAL LONG TERM CARE CENTER!

I do have a full list of products used as well as links to them in my store. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to me either in the comments below or privately!

I will be back Wednesday for another fun little card using Marbled Elegance Suite Collection including the Treat Bags!

Happy Stamping!!

Valentine’s Fun with Stampin’ Up! Marbled Elegance Suite Collection

Happy February everyone! To welcome in the month I thought it would be fun to start a small series of Marbled Elegance Valentine’s Fun.

Stampin’ Up!©️ Marbled Elegance Suite Collection has a lot of fun items including an amazing Specialty Designer Series Paper that I have fallen in love with!

Todays card I will be using everything in the Marbled Elegance Suite Collection except the Gift Bags. I will use them later in this mini series and you can find a sample of use on the Stamp It Group Valentine’s Day Blog Hop post.

I’m not sure if this card is a fun fold exactly but it is a fun shape so we are going to roll with it! I do have 2 different designs for this Heart Shape card and as you will see later on I actually cut them a couple of different ways so they open different.

Lets start with paper sizes and colors!

Colors that I am using here are pretty simple. I have Real Red Cardstock as my base, some Gold Foil in one of the designs and Cherry Cobbler ink with both of them.

With the Marbled Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) you could use Melon Mambo, Poppy Parade or Cherry Cobbler for your base with these two pieces of DSP that I am using.

Paper Sizes and scoring:

Cherry Cobbler 8-1/2 x 11” Cardstock: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” score at 4-1/4”

Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP: 3-1/4” x 4-1/4”

Basic White 8-1/2” x  11” Cardstock: 4” x 4” and Scraps for stamping

Gold Foil: 1-1/2 x 1-1/2”

*Tip if you have the Stampin’ Up! Glass Mat, you can write your measurements on the side with a Wet Erase Marker. Simply wash it off with a damp towel when you’re done!

Now for the fun part of putting this card together!! Well these cards as I will show you both designs.

A couple of quick things:  I mentioned that I cut my bases a little differently and I did this by moving the fold of the card to different spots on my die.
I ended up with 3 different folds: from the top, one from the side and one from the left corner.
Second thing: I know some of you will be curious to know how I did the Sending Lots of Love sentiment with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. Here’s a quick step by step of how I did it.
This method will work with a lot of the punches to make them smaller in size. And I really do have an over abundance of Post It Notes stashed under my desk. I’ll nab a photo for you and throw it on my Facebook page! My daughter tells me I need an intervention!
Now you have 2 lovely and fun cards you can use to send out to a loved one. My little guys here will be heading off to the Long Term Care Center next week!

I do have a full list of products used as well as links to them in my store. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to me either in the comments below or privately!

Come back later this week for another fun little card using Marbled Elegance once again!

Happy Stamping!!

Stamp It Group New Years Blog Hop

Products used with New Years Wishes Cards created for my blog hop. Thank you for joining me this evening for our New Years Theme Blog Hop! I am excited to have you here!

My name is Mikki Winebrenner and today I have a simple Slim Line New Year card for you using Stampin’ Up!© More Wishes Photopolymer and Round We Go Photopolymer Stamp Sets.

Better view of the two cards, same cards but with different color designer series paper.

Don’t forget to drop a comment below for a chance to win a Stampin’ Up! Circus Celebration Kit.

For my New Year card today I chose to do another slim line card. I had a lot of feed back asking for more of that style. I do like the slim lines as they give more room to work with, especially card fronts that have big letters!

While thinking of colors I wanted to use and overall feel of the card my mind immediately went to metallic. New Years always seems to bring out all the shiny things! Running with this idea I am using a lot of gold and silver with a little color and copper thrown in here and there.

I found the creating process of this card to be pretty simple. Simple is perfect for this time of year! There is a lot of heat embossing with this card but that could be simple enough to swap out if you wanted. I’ll explain more on that later.

I will NOT have a PDF file this time but I do have a fast walk through for you including pictures of some of the process. If you would like a PDF I can get one uploaded later this weekend.

MEASUREMENTS FOR THE PAPER ARE:

Basic Black  8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 7” x 8-1/2” score at 3-1/2”, 3” x 8”

Basic White 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 3-1/4” x 8-1/4”

Season of Elegance 12” x 12” Specialty Designer Series Paper: 3-3/8” x8-3/8”, scrap strips for inside of card and envelope

The envelope is custom made and the measurements are:

Basic White 8-1/2” x 11” Light Weight Cardstock: 8-1/4” x 9-1/2” score short side at 2” and 5-1/2”, long side at 1/2” and 9”. (You can use DSP as an alternative)

Ink colors that I used in this one are: Cherry Cobbler and Pretty Peacock Stampin Blends, VersaMark ink pad and refill, Wow Metallic Embossing Powder.

THERE IS A FULL LIST OF PRODUCTS BELOW WITH LINKS AND PRODUCT NUMBERS

LET’S TAKE A QUICK LOOK AT HOW THIS CARD CAME TOGETHER. I have a few different cards to show you using different colors and no embossing.

For an alternative for this card without the embossing, switch the colors up just a little bit. Replace the 3”x8” Basic Black with Basic White instead. Stamp your New Year Wishes saying in any color you choose (I used Cherry Cobbler to coordinate with my DSP). You can stamp the stars in bright colors and dap a bit of Wink or Stella on them or eliminate the stars and grab your enamel effects and make your own stars!

Another way to create the same card without using embossing powders.

I hope this cards gives you some New Years inspiration! I’ve enjoyed creating this one for all of you.

6 Weeks of Christmas Week 1 Wrap Up

Welcome everyone to our final night of 6 weeks of Christmas Week 1! Thank you to everyone who has buckled up and enjoyed the ride this week as I smoothed out all the wrinkles in the plan. I appreciate you all very much!

Before I get into the final 3 cards for the week (oddly enough none of them are Christmas!), I wanted to cover a few changes in the schedule.

Posting will be done as follows: Saturday Evening: New Feature with video, Monday, Wednesday and Friday I will do regular posts with some cards/crafts and maybe a few tutorials. All posts will be scheduled for 7pm CST.

Weekly Prize Patrol Drawing will be done Saturday Evening to give everyone a chance to comment (like, share…) on the Friday posting. Remember, each week is saved and all names go in or the final Grand Prize drawing in December. This will give you up to 6 chances to win.

Speaking of Prize Patrol, Tomorrow evening I will draw for Week 1 Prize Patrol which is a set of 12 cards that where made through the week!

As I mentioned earlier the 3 cards I have tonight are actually not Christmas. Odd… this is 6 Weeks of Christmas right?

Yes it is! However, I feel it’s important for you to see how you can use our stamps, bundles and suites in different ways then they may be intended for.

Throughout the week we have been using Stampin Up Season of Green & Gold Suite Collection and we’ve stayed pretty close to just Christmas for this. Tonight I want to show you how you can use this to make a different kind of card.

It looks nothing like Christmas but I have used the Season of Green & Gold DSP. I simply colored the Gold and Very Vanilla piece with Calypso Coral ink using my Blending Brush! It changes the entire perspective of the suite!

I will get a PDF posted over the weekend for more detials on how I made this card.

More Than Autumn Bundle I have tried mixing up Christmas and Fall this week. Now this bundle could go a million different ways. Tonight I have a sample of how you can use it for celebrating.

With the bright colors and really who doesn’t like donughts! I did not make this event specific as there are many ways to “Celebrate You” and I wanted to leave that open for the perfect occasion.

This card is fairly simple and I will also have a PDF of the details posted for you over the weeken. Possibly tonight if things stay as calm as they have been!

My favorite card of the evening is the Love & Strength card using the Love & Strength Stamp Set.

The Love & Strength set has actually been a bit of struggle for me to use and come up with ideas for. I saw a similar card to this one on Pinterest and I fell in love with the ombré effect of the hearts.

I will give you all the details for this one!

Paper Dimensions:

Peach Pie 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and 3-1/8” x  4-3/8”

Basic White 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”, 3-1/4” x 4-1/2” and  3” x 4-1/4

Simply Irresistible 6” x 6” DSP: 4-1/8” x 5-3/8” and  5/8” x  1-3/4”

I will admit that I cheated just a little bit on the main 3” x 4-1/4” Basic White stamping. I pulled out the old Stampuratus to try and get them to line up perfectly. While I succeeded, mostly, it did take a bit of time to do. Then again anyone who knows me knows I have a love/hate relationship with that thing.

Point of the story there is you can definitely use that to help get things placed exactly where you want them. I did do the inside piece and envelop by hand just to see if I could do it (personal challenge).

I will get a PDF of this card up as well for you all with more details on how I used the Stampuratus to get things in rows.

That wraps up our first week of 6 Weeks of Christmas! Join me tomorrow night as we draw for our weekly prize patrol and watch the exciting new creations I have for you using Stampin Up Reindeer Days Suite Collection!

Happy Stamping!!

6 Weeks of Christmas- Week 1 Fun Fold Calls for Hot Cocoa

Hey everyone! Welcome back to our 6 Weeks of Christmas Event. I have some more fun projects for you this evening.

I do want to share quick that I had intended on posting these yesterday evening but the post didn’t schedule correctly. Going forward Wednesday will be our 2nd day of the week postings which I will have 3 samples and one of them will have a walk through.

Thanks for being super patient as I figure out the scheduling and timing. I will always try to do a 7pm post from here on out. If that time is an issue please reach out to me!

Let’s get to the fun stuff!! I have some pretty cute cards to share with you this evening.

First I have a simple yet elegant card using the Suite of the week, Season of Green and Gold.

The card uses both the Season of Green & Gold Specialty DSP and the Graceful GreeneryVellum.

Cheerful Celebration tag is from the Greetings of the Season Bundle , stamped in Garden Green and tied off with White Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon and Gold Trim.

Next up I have a unique card using the Love & Strength stamp set.

This card uses Season of Elegance 12” x 12” DSP. This is a new style or technique for me. This is called a drapery fold. I wanted to make it look cascadeing. To do that I centered piece at the edge of the DSP and cut angles on both the top and bottom.

I stamped the mountains on the fold with StazOn Jet Black Ink, I used this ink to prevent any smudging. I also stamped mountains on the DSP behind the fold with Crumb Cake to give a depth to the background. I stamped the sentiment in Jet Black . I added some iridescent foil gems.

Final card for the evening is a fun fold that is super cute using More Than Autumn Bundle.

Going to show you  a fun little technique with this card using the DSP on the cup. I will have a walk through for you on how to do this particular card. It looks hard but honestly its super simple!

Paper Measurements are:

Pecan Pie 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 5-1/2” x 6-3/8” score at 4-1/4”, 3-3/4” x 5” and scrap piece for lettering.

Basic White 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 3-1/2” x 4-3/4” (x2) and scraps for stamping and sentiment.

Sentimental Christmas DSP (Pecan Pie Snowflake): 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”,  2” x 5-3/8” and scrap piece for the cup.

Here are all the details…

And that is all for this really cute Hot Cocoa fun fold. If you guys would like a written PDF for this let me know in the comments and I will get one up for you! There is also a full list of products used for all three cards below with links to them in my online store.

Come on back tomorrow for more fun and our Final projects for the week. I will have 3 super cute cards for you with instructions on ALL of them! I will also talk briefly about some changes in the schedule.

Be sure to comment on any posts (Here, Facebook, Instagram…) to get your name in for the weekly drawing!

Happy Stamping!!

6 Weeks of Christmas – Week 1 Samples

Yesterday I posted 3 cards on Facebook and forgot to upload them here! Let me remedy that!!

First we have the Season of Green and Gold Suite Card. This card I used the DSP from the suite and the Greetings of the Season Bundle also in the Suite.

The ribbon used is Stampin Up’s  White 3/8” Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon and I also applied a few Iridescent Foil Gems for some pop.

The second card I have uses the More Than Autumn Bundle. This one I wanted to something non-Christmas for our Pumpkin Spice lovers!

I used Peach Pie, Beige, White and Pecan Pie cardstock for this card, also a Pumpkin Pie scrap piece for the word Pumpkin.

I added some Pecan Pie Dots to the card to add a little something to the finished piece.

The last card I have for you is using the Love & Strength stamp set.

This one I had a little trouble with but I am very happy with the final product. The DSP used for this card is from the Full of Life 6” x 6” DSP. I used Night of Navy cardstock and Ink, as well as some Basic white for the flower and sentiment.

The twine used behind the flower is from the Natural Tones Linen Thread set available online.

I hope these help inspire you with any creations you are currently working on. I know we are to be focusing on Christmas but we need to have a variance here and there!

If you would like instructions to any of these cards please let me know.

I will see you later this week with more cards and ideas for you!

Happy Stamping!
