My name is Mikki Winebrenner and today I have a fun and simple fall themed card for you using Stampin Up! Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks. These masks will make their big debut September 6th, 2023 in the new Mini Catalog.

Fall is one of my favorite seasons. When I think fall one thing that comes to mind is our big Sunflower Festival. I love walking through the sunflower fields and seeing them in full bloom. They are just absolutely gorgeous!

In the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks there is a 4 part sunflower that I thought would be perfect not only for the sunflower card but as a way for you to see these masks in action!

I will cover the process of how I used the masks for this card but the rest of the details on putting the card together can be found in the full printable PDF available for your use at a later date as well as a full product list with links below.

To begin with the card you will need Basic White Cardstock and Daffodil Delight Cardstock.

Cutting & Scoring:

Basic White 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock : 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” scored at 4-1/4”

Basic White 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock : 4” x 5-1/4”

Daffodil Delight 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 4-1/8” x 5-3/8” and 4” x 2”

Tape the 4” Basic White down to keep in place. I used old washi tape.

Lay the sunflower stencil over the card stock at a slight angle. Over in the upper left corner you will see a notch, trace that so you have a guide for the rest of the masks.

With Blending Brushes apply Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry to the sunflower. I started from the center with Crushed Curry and worked my way out with Daffodil Delight.

Line up the second mask with the notch over the sunflower.

Apply Pecan Pie to the center section of the sunflower.

Again, Line up the notch! This is actually important so that everything lines up exactly the way it is suppose to.

Apply Cajun Craze to give detail to the center of the sunflower.

And there you have a beautiful sunflower using the masks.

I also crated the background paper for my sentiment with the mask on Daffodil Delight cardstock.

As well as adding in some flowers to the inside of my card.

After cutting out the sentiment and attaching the card front together we are done!

A quick tip on the masks, especially this set of 4 with the sunflowers. There is a notch in the upper left hand corner for you to mark and be able to line up the layers flawlessly. They’re also numbered which was brilliant! Thank You concept artists for that little detail!

The photo above is a sample I did when playing around to see how the layout worked. The beautiful thing here is you can move those masks around on your paper to create different designs each time. This was how I created that background paper as well as the inside of the card.
