When I think of Mother’s Day I always think of flowers. I think it comes from when my kids were young they would always have some kind of flower for me for Mother’s Day. By some kind of flower I mean paper, real, weed, drawing… there was a definite variety but loved equally.

I knew I wanted to use the Online Exclusive Magnolia Mood Bundle for this card as it has quickly become a favorite of mine. However, I have been at a complete loss for ideas!

I thought it would be fun to slip in my technique to help get the creativity flowing. Being such a visual person I have found that making idea boards or inspiration boards with a bundle or suite.

This is the one I created for the Magnolia Mood Bundle when I first ordered it. You can also see the I have laid out the colors I wanted to use. I was finally able to come up with the design I have for you today.

I’ve also been color obsessed recently so brace yourself, there is a lot of coloring involved!!

Some of the products you will need are: Peach Pie Cardstock (You can substitute this with Petal Pink), Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Basic White Cardstock. You will also need those coordinating Stampin’ Blends. Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and Calypso Coral Stamp Pad.

The cardstock measurements are:

Peach Pie 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” scored at 4-1/4”

Calypso Coral 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”

Old Olive 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”

Basic White 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, 4” x 5-1/4”, 1 full sheet for stamping images, scrap piece for sentiment.

Let’s dive in with a quick run down of how I created this. Again, A LOT of coloring!

Stamp a couple of the large flower, small flower and seedling. Use Memento Tuxedo Black for this as we will be using Stampin’ Blends which will cause other inks to bleed. I stamped way to many images but we only used 2 of each in the final card.

Stamp the large flower opposite corners of the 4” x 5-1/4” Basic White. Also use Memento for this.

Now we color! The blends that I have used are Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Peach Pie and the color lifter. Don’t be afraid to mix up the colors a little bit. At one point I used the Dark Calypso Coral and accidentally grabbed the light Peach Pie Blend, I was not mad about it. Happy Accidents!

Cut out the images with their coordinating dies from the Bundle. Lay out the images onto the 3-7/8”Basic White. When you are happy with the placement attach them using Liquid Glue.

Trim off any bits that are hanging over the page with your paper snips. If you want you can use your paper trimmer. I don’t do that because of the glue and the little pieces get stuck everywhere.

Stamp your sentiment onto a scrap piece of Basic White with Calypso Coral Ink. Fussy cut that out with your snips.

Cut a piece of White twine from the Bakers Twine Essentials Pack. Tie a bow and attach it behind the sentiment with a mini glue dot. Attach the sentiment and the ribbon tot the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals. Just a note here, you do not have to use the Black dimensionals. I only used them because it was what I had on hand at the time. Any of the dimensionals is fine.

Attach a few Iridescent Foil Gems between some of the flowers. I believe I ended up with 5 total.

Let’s put this card together! Attach the card front to the Old Olive Cardstock. Attach that to the Calypso Coral Cardstock. Then attach all of that to the Peach Pie Card Base. Use Liquid glue (or Stampin’ Seal) for this.

Attach the remaining stamped Basic White to the inside of the card.

For the inside Basic White piece: I the genius that I am forgot to take photos of the process of creating it 😂. You will want to color in the flowers with your Stampin’ Blends and stamp your “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment in the center with Calypso Coral Ink.
