New Years is a special occasion for many of us. We stay up late and celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of a new year. At my house this usually consists of food, family and fun. And also wine!

The Cheers to the Season Cling Stamp has a cute little wine glass that I thought would be perfect for a New Years card. I’m thinking this one will be for my daughter in the end!

We will also be using 2 other stamp sets, Biggest Wish and More Wishes with this one as well.

Some other products used are: VersaMark, Lost Lagoon Classic Stamp Pad, Blending Brush, Metallic Embossing Powder, Basic Embossing Powders, Heat Tool and Simply Elegant Trim. There is a complete list of all products below for you.

Measurements for this card are:

Lost Lagoon 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 4-1/4” x 11” , score at 5-1/2”; 2-1/2” x 4”

Basic White 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”; 2-1/2” x 4”; 1” x 4-1/2”

Snowflake Magic 12” x 12” Specialty Paper:4” x 5-1/4”; 3 scrap pieces between 1 & 3-3/4” and at least 5-1/4” long.

Most of my Snowflake Magic paper was cut at odd angles which actually ended up working perfectly. You can however use straight edges if you want.

I had a complete brain reboot while working on this card.  I completely forgot to catch photos of the first couple of steps 🤦‍♀️ Thankfully they are fairly simple steps!

What is not photographed is: Stamp the wine glass onto the 2-1/2” Lost Lagoon with VersaMark. Add some Silver and White Embossing Powder to this and hit it with the heat tool. Next you will want to stamp another wine glass on the 2-1/2” Basic White with VersaMark and Lost Lagoon Stamp Pad . Cover this with Clear Embossing Powder and heat to set.
Stamp “Happy New Years” onto the 1” White with both Versamark and Lost Lagoon Stamp Pad. Cover with Clear Embossing Powder and heat to set. I used both Biggest Wish and More Wishes cursive stamps for this.

I added an extra piece of Snowflake Magic to the larger Basic White and attached that to the inside of the card.

There you have a simple but gorgeous New Years card!

I hope this helps to inspire you for some fun cards for your New Years celebration!
